The links below contain recommendations both for sex workers participating in the July 19th protests and for journalists, photographers and other individuals who plan to take photos or record videos during the upcoming events. There are also notes for allies and for demonstration organisers. Please contact us if you need any assistance planning/managing documentation of your event.
If this is your first sex worker rights demonstration, you may not know that the red umbrella is the international symbol of the struggle for sex worker rights, so some participants or groups may choose to carry these. Any kind of umbrella or parasol is fine, as long as it’s red!
